For years, 221 South Oak has been renowned for its intimate atmosphere, incredible food, extensive wine list, friendly service and uncompromising quality. Chef/Owner Eliza serves cuisine classified as Modern Bistro with an eclectic blend of flavors and styles. Full Vegetarian Menu is available.

Ever wondered how much a dash, drizzle or pinch may be and how much is too much? Explore these questions and other culinary quandaries with Chef Eliza on Thursdays, from 11:00 to 2:30. Chef Eliza will demonstrate 12 dishes and Sommelier Sophie will pour 10 wines, harmonizing or juxtaposing the cuisine. Recipes feature summer flavors and lesser known ingredients. Learn from Sophie the art of wine pairing and dive into the regions and varietals of wine. Take with you all of the recipes, a full tummy and a bevy of new friends. Feel free to request a date for a class that fits your schedule. Most of our classes are held on Thursdays but we are open to private classes any day of the week.

I love this restaurant. Every time the menu surprises and delights me. Fresh. Creative. Generous portions. The cocktails, too, are inventive and fun. Always high-quality service. I especially love that there is a full vegetarian menu for me in addition to the more traditional menu for my husband and daughter. Everyone is delighted. I am hard pressed to not get the duo of ravioli in wild mushroom cream sauce ... every time it is different flavors, every time it is wonderful. But this time I tried the tofu kabob lettuce wraps. Heaven! I feel so lucky every time we go to 221. I would give seven stars if I could.

This was our first time to 221 South Oak. We are from Boston and have eaten at many fantastic restaurants in the major east coast cities. 221 South Oak is as good, if not better, than most of them. The room was quite cosy and had the look and feel of being in our hosts home. The menu ingredients were locally sourced, remarkably fresh, and combined in ways that were both inventive and delicious. Every dish we had was remarkable - and left us impressed with both the presentation and flavor profiles. The service was equally excellent. Kelsey was attentive, knowledgeable, gave great recommendations, and was our guide thru a remarkable evening. This was one of our best dining experiences in recent memory. We were impressed!
