                                                                                                                I was not aware that it was a buffet on Christmas Day when I made my reservation, but there was a great selection of food and the service was good. Great atmosphere. I am guessing they add gratuity to all parties, at least on Christmas, since we only had 4 and the gratuity was added automatically.

                                                                                                                The buffet selection was extensive and beautifully laid out. The salad section was perfect. The artisan cheese selections were very good. The broccolini was very good only the Brussel sprouts were tough and unexceptional. The potatoes au gratin were very good. The seared salmon was perfectly done. The other seafood options were excellent as was the prime rib. The pasta bowl was good as were the desserts. Overall I can highly recommend this!

Appetizers (charcuterie board ) terrible Kids dinner served 25 minutes before ours. The experience we were looking for was to eat together as a family. Then paid $240.00 to take half of the meals home because the kids were ready to move on the next holiday activity.  We let the hotel know about our ordeal and they sent a message back saying “Hope you enjoyed your stay at the Abbey Resort “. They must not read texts send by their guests.

The crab legs were outstanding, our server was most efficient & pleasant, what a great Santa Clause, he was dressed so well & his white beard was real & he walked around & talked to everyone, I even got a picture! I think we will back at this time every year, make it our holiday tradition!!

                                                                                                                I had high expectations for this place. I booked here for a party of 7 for my birthday dinner. The hotel it is in, The Abbey Resort, is lovely, and the Waterfront Restaurant that we were dining in more frequently which was more casual was actually pretty nice. This is why I expected more. The food was good, piano entertainment was nice, but the service was so so so poor. Our server did not want to listen, seemed offended when I asked for more water, and when I asked for the table to be cleared of used plates she even asked me to pick up the charcuterie board. For the prices at this place, to be asked to pick up my own trays and tables-obscene. I do not mind paying $54 for a filet mignon and $65 for prime rib, but the good service must come with these price tags.

                                                                                                                Great location and fairly good food; however it arrived warm at best. Tableware was dirty and the table lamp that was supposed to provide some ambiance was so dirty that it was off putting having on the table. I did like the place, but they need to step it up.
