Aliotta’s provides a great vibe, like stepping into old Italy. The food is delicious and the service is impeccable. You are welcomed like family every time! Juan and the rest of the staff are so friendly and we look forward to every visit.

From the time you walk in and are seated, this place is amazing. The setting and music take you back to Italy. But the food is the BEST Italian in the South Bay area for sure. They are so accommodating and are happy to make you something that suits your desire. We go here for most of our special occasions. It's a special treat!

I’ve lived in the South Bay for a while and last night was our first visit to Aliotta’s which is tucked away in a mini-mall in Torrance. There are so many structural changes to SoCal that it was unexpectedly reassuring to experience a genuine Italian “old school” vibe. The exterior was rather non-descript but once you step inside, there was this element of wonderment because the decor was so unique. The food was outstanding, simply prepared and without pretense. I ordered the cream of mushroom soup as a starter and was stunned by the complexity of umami flavors that only mushrooms can impart. My partner ordered seafood Paccheri the seafood was plentiful but particularly noteworthy was how the dish was sauced. It was a very light, flavorful cream sauce with just a touch of tomatoes with a simple sprinkle of parsley that perfectly accented the dish’s overall presentation. We marveled at the lightness and flavor of the dish. All of the dishes arrived at our table piping hot and the portions were very generous. The service was as noteworthy as the food and interior decor. The waitstaff were pleasant, attentive without being intrusive and were professionals who provided an added element of enjoyment to our evening. We frequent the trending restaurants in DTLA, Venice, WeHo etc but Aliotta’s has genuine heart and cooks with tremendous love. Perhaps EATER LA will feature this gem of a restaurant when they focus some of their attention on the South Bay. The tables were spaced in such a way that provided ample privacy for all diners. While we did not understand the lyrics, the music sung in Italian added to the warmth of the meal. We are planning our next visit to celebrate the birthday of my Italian friend, Silvio. If you are seeking a trendy Italian spot, don’t come. We talked about the meal the entire way home discussing our desire to try the other dishes and can’t wait to return.
