Avanti Restaurant offers an intimate dining room with a sleek, Uptown bistro atmosphere, where you can hear live music nightly. For the urban connoisseur dine al fresco, sip, mingle and eat outdoors amongst your friends on the trendy McKinney Avenue strip and enjoy exceptional hospitality.
Chef Mario’s cuisine is inspired by the flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean region. Signature dishes are Pasta Bolognese, Osso Buco, Crab Crusted Sea Bass, Ceviche, Three Cheese Spinach Lasagna, Farfalle Carbonara, or Bone-in Veal Milanese. Our menu also features steaks, lamb, seafood, hand-made fresh pasta, legumes of the season and a Wine Spectator awarded Wine Collection focused on the Italy-Mediterranean including a selection of Texas' rising stars. The service in this restaurant is outstanding. We've dined here 4-5 times, and every time it feels like family. We've visited NYC many times, and this restaurant feels like a family restaurant on Mulberry in Little Italy. The owner understands hospitality, friendliness and excellence. We will continue to return.

I hadn't been to Avanti in at least 20 years - I decided to go because it's been around for a long time. Tried and true, right? It was a mild night and we were seated on the enclosed patio. It was bustling and lively. Our server was attentive in an arms length kind of way - friendly enough. He didn't mention any specials like the server did to the table next to ours. It was just the two of us and we shared a salad and ordered an entree each. I had a glass of wine and chocolate martini. All good but nothing outstanding. They are known for date nights and there were lots of young couples around us and everyone seem to be enjoying dinner out.

Brought in the New Year with my sister at Avanti and as always, the service, food/drinks and ambience was spectacular. Easily my favorite restaurant in Dallas.

Even with the more limited NYE menu the food was great, the service perfect and of course the wine always on point.

We always love Avanti & food usually spectacular with generous portions. We went on New Year’s Eve this year. I ordered the ravioli with seafood. It was delicious but there were only 4 ravioli & I was left hungry after. My husband had the lobster bisque & it was extremely ‘soupy & watery’ with no texture or good flavor. I don’t know if they had an off night but I’m not sure I will go during a holiday again because of this experience. Sorry just being honest.
