Avanti Restaurant offers an intimate dining room with a sleek, Uptown bistro atmosphere, where you can hear live music nightly. For the urban connoisseur dine al fresco, sip, mingle and eat outdoors amongst your friends on the trendy McKinney Avenue strip and enjoy exceptional hospitality.
Chef Mario’s cuisine is inspired by the flavors of Italy and the Mediterranean region. Signature dishes are Pasta Bolognese, Osso Buco, Crab Crusted Sea Bass, Ceviche, Three Cheese Spinach Lasagna, Farfalle Carbonara, or Bone-in Veal Milanese. Our menu also features steaks, lamb, seafood, hand-made fresh pasta, legumes of the season and a Wine Spectator awarded Wine Collection focused on the Italy-Mediterranean including a selection of Texas' rising stars. Avanti has become a Dallas mainstay, a chic neighborhood restaurant for 30 years.

One of our favorite restaurants in all of Dallas. Small, cozy, sophisticated but friendly. Good, consistent food, beautiful atmosphere, nice live music. Always a great experience.

The food was fantastic with great service! Our waiter was so nice and attentive. It was too noisy, like super noisy. Which if your looking for an upbeat place where you don’t mind not hearing the folks you’re with, it’s fine. But def didn’t work well for a date night with my husband. It is likely because it’s a smaller venue so the noise level on a Friday night is going to be loud. That will not keep us from going back though. Absolutely delicious food!

Food was great. Really enjoyed the garlic bread and spicy gnocchi appetizer. Our waiter, Martin was excellent. Very kind and great recommendations and attentive.

This is hands down our favorite Italian restaurant anywhere. The cozy atmosphere welcomes you in and the amazing staff makes you want to linger all evening. There is a great cocktail list followed by a lengthy wine list. We had the crabmeat crusted sea bass and bolognese and back again a second night for the crab cakes. Do NOT miss these if you are a crab cake fan. We would have date night here once a week if we lived down the street. Don't miss this local gem!
