We’ve dined here in the past and always been quite pleased. Had a holiday gathering last night with nine total. Food was mediocre and overpriced, and one friend watched us all eat bc they forgot her order. They did comp her meal which helped. Too bad… we were really looking forward to a great evening with friends. Won’t go back for a while.

We received the worst service we have in a long time in Salt Lake City. The server was cold, inattentive, short with our table and showed a marked difference of attention with us compared to the other table. This was a special event for my daughter as she’s performing in the nutcracker and this experience was simply sad for her. The manager promised to call us and that didn’t happen either. We have dined here many times and are locals (Capitol hill residents) and there a lot of dining options now in SLC; we have no reason to go back. We will also share this experience with others and post reviews to reflect this horrible experience

I wasn't thrilled with Bambara this go around. One thing I really hate are really small tables. When this is the case, you're always smack-dab next to the party next to you. We also didn't really love the food. I got the gnocchi and my partner ordered the most pricey red meat option (I can't remember what it was called.) For the price, I wouldn't recommend.

Slipping. Wine pour was maybe 3 oz for $12. Someone decided to use coriander on duck. Yuck. Used to be great, now, meh

A drink in the Vault (attached bar) was fun, pleasant and had great staff who made us feel welcome. So convenient for a meal prior to the ballet which is just across the street. Our server was fantastic. Available, knowledgeable and not intrusive. Water glasses filled without being asked for, same for wine- but appropriately if the individual agreed. I wish the food was on par with this outstanding level of service and kindness. Food was good, solid, but not a home run like the rest of our night. The Kohlrabi Caesar salad was the highlight of the night. Our entrees; poached halibut and duck breast were solid and good. Hard to pay a premium for a dinner I think I could do better at home.

The food was delicious, blue cheese chips and Elk loin were perfect. My husband enjoyed the halibut. The service was amazing, very friendly and attentive. Would definitely visit again if I find myself back in SLC.

Just a wonderful meal from start to finish! Conor was our waiter and he was attentive without being too intrusive. He brought us our drinks and dishes in a timely manner that allowed us to chat a bit in between courses but not wait too long. He was so friendly and we were delighted to find out that he attended uni in Vermont where our son lives. He very generously treated us to the cardamom cheesecake dessert which was TO DIE FOR delicious! He made us feel so welcome and like we were among friends even though it was our first time having dinner at Bambara. Can’t wait for our next meal here!
