An authentic American restaurant with a great bar - that's the idea behind Baxter's. Our classic American restaurant builds on the rich history and tradition the Lake Area is known for. We use only the finest, freshest ingredients, coupled with personal service and warm, inviting surroundings. We're happy to bring this dining experience to the Lake of the Ozarks.                                                                                               Food was amazing, the ambience was quiet and even though the restaurant was busy, the service was amazing. It was my husband’s birthday and they were kind enough to get him a cake with a birthday candle. Very sweet! First time at this restaurant and will definitely be back.

                                                                                              We've been coming to Baxter's for our anniversary for over 20 years. The view is what brought us to Baxter's in the first place, the service and the excellent Manhattans are what keeps us coming back.

                                                                                              We went for our anniversary and the food was excellent! My husband had the filet mignon which was extremely tender almost melted in your mouth. Cooked perfectly medium rare. He had a baked potato which came out hot;as some places you never know what you will get. I had the special that evening which was the prime rib. It was very good. I chose the wasabi smashed potatoes, both meals came with asparagus. Since it was our anniversary we received a complimentary desert along with a free photo taken of us. Our waitress was amazing. 10 out of 10 if you are looking for a nice night to celebrate or just gather with friends.
