A small, intimate restaurant perfectly situated on the oldest lane in Norwich, Bishops Dining Room and Wine Bar is everything you would expect from a fine dining restaurant and more. Our welcoming, relaxed atmosphere will ensure you and your guests have an experience to treasure. Our food is locally sourced, wherever possible, to give you a taste of the real Norfolk. Our Chefs passionately prepare each of our dishes to really make Bishops Dining Room and Wine Bar a unique restaurant, any special requests are happily accommodated. Enticing, seasonal menus will ensure all of our guests leave us wanting more. Originally from Lake Como, Italy, Alex Tranquillo is looking forward to personally welcoming you and your guests to Bishops Dining Room and Wine Bar.     I came to Bishop’s with my family for Sunday lunch we ate basically one of everything on offer every course with wine pairings Alessandro is an incredible host the Chef is fabulous and it’s evident how passionate he is about his food. The presentation was excellent. I had the fish of the day. I can’t find fault in anything I ate and I am quite picky and a chef myself. My mother went for the Sunday roast and it was absolutely amazing. It was a large portion so I got to have some of hers. It was the nicest roast I’ve ever had. The flavours were rich and bold and beautiful the textures of the pork. The crackling was the best crackling I’ve ever had I give it an absolute 10 out of 10 super super impressed. I’m here visiting from the United States and I would literally come back to Norwich just so that I could eat at bishops again.

    All the staff super friendly and chatty. Food came out in excellent time and was all very Tastey.

    We were welcomed and shown to our table by a pleasant waiter who was discreetly attentive throughout. The menu was pleasingly short with a good choice for each of us. The food was well presented and delicious. A good evening.

    We had a fantastic Sunday lunch at Bishop’s. The food and service was outstanding. We loved the attention to detail. It’s quite a small space making it feel exclusive for a special meal. We really loved it in every way! Thank you to the whole team.
