A San Diego tradition since 1969, the Brigantine has received many accolades in our 40+ year history: "BEST SEAFOOD", "BEST CASUAL SEAFOOD", "BEST HAPPY HOUR", and even "BEST SWORDFISH IN THE WORLD", according to USA Today - just to name a few.

Beautifully remodeled in early 2009, the Brigantine is well-known for the signature Clam Chowder, Grilled Swordfish, and Fish Tacos. The Brigantine is a favorite among locals for consistently fresh seafood, succulent steaks and grilled meats.

Home to the America's Cup until 1995, Shelter Island is still the yachting center of San Diego. The Brigantine offers glimpses of this busy marina from the outdoor patio and semi-private banquet areas.

The Point Loma Brigantine serves dinner 7 nights a week, and lunch Saturday & Sunday. Join us for our signature $5 Happy Hour from 3-6pm.

The Shelter Island Briganyine is our favorite. Excellent service and food. Ample parking and view of the boats. Nice area to take a walk after eating too.

The service was wonderful the ambiance was nice and cozy, my wife and I enjoyed the food and drinks. Would definitely recommend and come back.

We love the Brig for its consistently good food and service. It's our go-to place before concerts at Humphrey's because we can get served and finish our meal without having to rush. Favorites are their yummy cioppino and the Brig salad (a bit overdressed this time). Clam chowder and all the main course salads were generous and nicely prepared. Good service, as always!

The Brig never disappoints. Calamari strips were fantastic and the sand dabs were phenomenal. Overall the meal didn’t suck!

Our server, Charlotte, was the highlight of the evening. She was attentive, friendly, and efficient. Fish and chips for $25 was not great. Mainly batter, overcooked, and a disappointment.

Met with my daughter and friend for a birthday dinner. Sat in the bar first and had a lovely $7 cocktail and appetizer. Both were great! Although ambience and service were wonderful, and the clam chowder was as delicious as it ever was, our entree-sized house salads were overly drenched with what is usually a wonderful house vinaigrette. Unfortunately, the dressing was oily and had little vinaigrette flavor. Oh! We ordered grilled shrimp to put on our salads, and the shrimp was perfection! So, overall, it was a lovely meal, we were just a little disappointed in the house salads. My daughter had the Caesar, and it was also perfect. I think the house salad dressing needed to be stirred before being used. In the future, I'll always ask for the dressing on the side! Still, it's a lovely place. Good location. Friendly and hard-working servers.

My husband and I were there to celebrate his birthday. We ordered the calimari and the crab cake appetizers, both were excellent. I had the scallops entree and he had the lobster tacos, we were happy with our choices. Dessert was gratis, my husband chose the creme brûlée. It was delicious. Service was excellent, parking was easy. It was a great birthday celebration. We’ll be back…
