The food was wonderful, so fresh and so nicely presented. The service was outstanding. Loved the tempura lobster tacos, a real winner.

The Poway Brigantine was unusually busy for a Tuesday night, and very loud. So, we opted to sit outside on the patio. The patio is covered and they have great heaters, so that worked out great. We were a party of four. One of our party ordered the Salmon special entree, only it turned out that when it was brought to the table, it was actually swordfish. The person who ordered the salmon didn't want to make a scene or delay dinner, so she just accepted it, but that was pretty unbelievable. I ordered the Bay Scallops, and they totally forgot to make the entree. The server brought out the other three orders and then they all looked very confused. Nobody ever acknowledged that they forgot to make the entree, but it was very clear that is what happened. Fortunately, scallops are really fast, as you barely cook them, so the wait for me meal wasn't too long. We brought our own wine, and the waitress spilled it when she poured it into my glass, making quite a mess. We wound up not getting charged for a corkage fee, but since they made no mention of it, I don't know if that was done intentionally to compensate for the spilled wine and screwed up orders, or they just forgot to bill us for the fee. My scallops were very good, and the stuffed shrimp that another in our party had was also very good, but the other two entrees were just meh. So, all in all, not a great experience that has me hankering to go back there anytime soon. It's too bad, because there aren't a lot of good restaurant options in the Poway area, especially for seafood.

We sat in the bar area and did Taco Tuesday. The food was great and the service was excellent. We look forward to going back.

Great food. Good service. Quiet place for a conversation. Got there a bit before reservation, they said "getting your table ready". 5 minutes later they offered us the bar so we wouldn't have to wait. When asked, they said they had unexpected large parties. My guess is that they missed on calculating when people would be leaving. Seated us ( party of 3) about 10 minutes later. Wish we hadn't rushed through traffic to make our reservation. Everyone very nice and professional.

Good food and drinks as always.. but needed to request bread 4 times before it arrived after we ate our food.. they forgot my wedge salad which was ready and on the counter of the kitchen just not delivered.. they did comp dessert and gave gift card but should have been unnecessary..

The service at the Poway Brigantine was excellent! It was the perfect place for my book club group of seven. Everyone was happy with their food, too.
