Specifically asked for a table by the back fireplace and no booth, which was promised. Was given a half table & half booth by the dining room entrance. Not happy with table location, since we had a handicap person with a walker. No "round table" options whatsoever in the entire restaurant. Restaurant should invest in round tables, since it provides a better social experience when with a large party. We had 7 people in our party. Fries were stale (Wagyu Burger). Service was great! Waitress Kay did an amazing job knowing that she was the only server on our side of the restaurant for a Saturday night dinner.

The Brig remains one of my favorite restaurants but the experience last night was a bit lacking. Had to send my appetizer back to the kitchen because it was clearly overcooked; I was surprised it was even served to me. My main seafood salad entree came drowning in salad dressing. Didn’t complain because I didn’t want to cause further delay as we were already running late from the appetizer snafu. Have higher expectations for the Brig, last night was disappointing.

This is the second or third time that I've been to this location, since the remodel. I mean I've been to the Brigantine for years and years and I think the remodel is hideous. I don't like it. It's very cold inside. It's not warm and cozy like the old fashioned style. The is rather slow. They need to ramp up more employees or they need to come up with a better game plan. The food is still okay. I was surprised the fish taco was in one big piece. I thought it was going to come in little flakes or something to that nature. I didn't expect it to be like a big piece of fish that would go on a sandwich bun so that was a little disappointing but other than that everything was good.

We have been going to that location for over 20 years and have been happy. Lately, the food does not taste as it used to be. During our last visit the Chicken Gordon Blu was very dry, hardly had any cheese inside, and baked too much. It was also tasteless. The mahi-mahi plate was ok but not what we were used to the soup tasted good and the wedge salad was the best item in our table (3 of them). Very disappointing

Beautifully remodeled Brigantine. We had the pleasure of sitting in the middle dining room for lunch on New Year’s Day. Eric was our server and he was fantastic. Attentive without being overbearing. The food was good; we had the crab cake as an appetizer, 2 bowls of chowder and the shrimp and Louie salad as well as the swordfish tacos. All was good with the salad being a substantial portion. Overall, the Poway Brig is well-appointed with good service and decent food. Server Eric is the bomb! We plan on coming back for brunch on Sunday. Would be nice if they offered cappuccinos and lattes vs regular coffee.
