    Autumn was very friendly and attentive. Food was delicious and atmosphere was great for New Years Eve dinner.

    To start we were seated 30 minutes after our reservation. There was no accommodation and no apologies. When our table was ready the hostesses as opposed to walking to where they saw us at the bar about 10 feet away called us on the phone… For a nice restaurant the food was ok. We had Shrimp cocktail - this was great, meatballs -bc we saw everyone else with it- this is a miss and I’m pretty sure the meatballs came frozen from a bag, French onion soup- this was excellent, steak- standard and good, truffled gnocchi- this was the saddest disappointment. The flavors were ok, overly salted and served in a bowl like Kraft Mac and cheese. Our table was over an air vent- not sure if a table is always here or bc it was NYE but the air coming out was so strong the table cloth was blowing. It was so cold my boyfriend and I covered it with our napkins and held down with the table and our chairs. Lastly the cocktails were $20. They were good- nothing great. We live in San Francisco. Those are SF prices- not South Bend. Our waitress was lovely. Overall I would not recommend

    I took my girls, one 6 the other 17, and we all had an amazing time. Our server, Heather, was attentive and helpful with recommending slight changes for my 6 year old. We’ll be back again!

    We celebrated a birthday with family. Great experience! Excellent service! Outstanding and unique menu items. Food was delicious and beautifully presented.

    Absolutely love everything about it. The food is always cooked to perfection and served with a smile. It is our favorite place to eat in South Bend.

    Our family of vegetarians/vegans enjoyed a Christmas Eve early 4pm dinner upstairs overlooking the street---such a great table! Although there is usually only one veg/vegan main option offered, the veg sides we ordered as one meal were deliciously-seasoned, perfectly-cooked and yummy (brussels sprouts, cauliflower and french fries). The vegan offering on the main menu of shitake and wild rice was unique and possibly the best vegan entree I have ever had at Cafe Navarre. Our server was knowledgeable, helpful with menu options we could eat and suggesting adjustments chef could make, and attentive at a perfect level. Wines were great; my vodka cocktail was tasty but seemed a little light on the vodka. A very pleasant experience as always at Cafe Navarre :)
