Carli's Fine Bistro & Piano located in the heart of historic Old San Juan Puerto Rico was born on December 27, 1998, as a place where locals and international patrons could gather to enjoy a unique live musical and fine dining experience in a relaxed atmosphere.

We have world-class live music nightly: Mondays and Thursdays we have jazz music at around 6:30 pm, and on Tue, Wed, Th, Fridays & Saturdays we have Jazz Piano from 8 PM, and on Saturday, a Classic Rock Duo, from 6:30 PM.

Nested on the plaza level of the historic art deco Banco Popular building, Carli's warm and artistic vibe will charm you while you savor exotic assortments of gourmet tapas and exquisite international entrees, or sip on your favorite martini from our classic bar on our main room or under the stars with a view of the SJ Bay.

Carli’s excels in the art of fine dining and live jazz entertainment, without sacrificing the comfort of casual elegance and competitive pricing. Live music begins nightly.

Unforgettable meal! Incredible service! The rack of lamb, Lobster ravioli, and seared ahi were peepers to perfection. Great wine choices.

Great service, great food, and music to entertain our senses. Small inside, so glad we made a reservation and arrived at 6:30. It filled up.

The food was excellent. The cod croquettes (came with their spinach salad) were amazing. Service was friendly but uneven. Said salad was my main, but was brought out 15 minutes before my husband’s starter and main (which were brought out together). But the dining experience’s true value was in the musically themed, eclectically decorated dining room (complete with gold record from Carlis time with the Beach Boys) and the centerpiece piano where Carli Muñoz joyfully sat down to play several times during our meal. Perfect!

There were four of us and everyone liked the food. Service and the location of the table was not so good. Didn’t care for the cocktails as well

Always a great meal. A fabulous chef and wonderful and friendly staff. Music is always enjoyable. One of our favorite restaurants and regular customers since 23 years. Linda and Gene.

Carli’s will always be a go-to when I’m in San Juan. The atmosphere is lovely, the food fantastic, and the music wonderful. Seeing Carli play during my visit was a real treat! He even played The Tennessee Waltz and Rocky Top on that beautiful grand piano. Wow! BTW, best escargot I’ve ever eaten.

The chef prepared the best grouper I ever had. That is saying something as I am 80 years old, and grew up in Florida where we had grouper all the time. I have been served the entree at some of the best restaurants and clubs in Florida—Carli’s entree is the best!

We made these reservations weeks in advance. When we arrive there were several tables open that were cozier and more private. We were seated next to the kitchen that was very load on top of piano playing next to us it was a bit much. We asked if we could sit at another table and were seated next to the door and hostess table which was uncomfortable and high traffic. I could understand if they were the only tables, except that there were two or more tables in a far more private area. They were never seated the entire time we were there. Our waiter was a kind older gentleman, but he was a bit lost and told long stories about his life. He told us not to eat several dishes and our appetizer never came causing us to just skip. It was at least 20 minutes before we got our drink order. We saw the drinks made, but they sat there for at least 5-10 minutes. All that being said, the Lobster Ravioli I had where probably the best I have ever had. Perfectly done, Al Dante. Flavor was amazing! I would caulk this up to wait staff shortage and poor hostess training. Would be hesitant to try again even know the Ravioli were an A+!
