                    The room is lovely but noise level makes conversation difficult. Octopus was cooked perfectly; but the sauce labeled puttanesca was just tomato sauce, although tasty. Crispy potatoes side was great but only a garnish; since potatoes are cheap larger portion would improve at minimal cost. Herb olive oil was a nice amuse bouche but would benefit from added balsamic vinegar. Hope these issues can be improved!

                    Went back after four years and enjoyed it as always if not more! Lively, vibrant, great food and wine list. Great for business meetings and hanging out with friends.

                    The restaurant was very crowded and noisy. The service was so slow that I never received the 2nd glass of wine that I ordered.

                    The food is always excellent. Service is great. We always choose Cascal when attending the Mountain View Center for Performing Arts.

                    We ordered Peruvian Ceviche, Curry Mussels, Chicken Livers, Paella marinera. Everything was very good, except Paella. Paella was overcooked. It tasted like it was cooked in good time, and then heated up. Good presentation. Very nice service.

                    I’ve been eating at Cascal since shortly after it opened and have celebrated many special occasions there. It’s in the top 5 of my family’s restaurants in the area for sure. Beautiful ambiance and amazing food and the service used to be completely on point. In the last couple of years, however, every time my husband and I make a reservation for two using open table, the hostess attempts to seat us at the same two top across from the service door and the restroom, and I always ask to be reseated. It’s getting old. Last night was NYE, I asked, we were reseated, the hostess then told us (7pm reservation) “You have to be out by 850 as we have dinner starting then” which is like, cool, thanks, we love spending a lot of money to be spoken to rudely. We asked our server to see a manager, never saw one, but she did a lovely job taking care of us after that. Cascal, is that two top by the bathroom really worth it? If you made it into a four by pushing it into the table a little bit away from it it would retain a shred of the ambiance your restaurant is famous for. My husband and I were dressed nicely, we were polite at checkin, what is the deal with that table test every freaking time? Why make a reservation when you’re going to have to have to make a fuss? If I wanted to eat your delicious food near a bathroom I would order takeout and stand in my hall. Please give people more grace in your beautiful restaurant.

                    Food was a mixed bag, shrimp were great but the steak was overcooked. Service was super rushed, when i made the reservation I got a call back from the restaurant to tell me that I’ll have 2 hours as the table is booked for a second seating. When we’re got there the host told us we only have a little more than an hour. They rushed us out of there.
