Chelsea Tavern is a local popular gastropub located in downtown Wilmington, directly across from the Grand Opera House. The kitchen prepares delicious comfort food consisting of locally grown and house made ingredients, that is complemented by our dynamic craft beer selection. Chelsea’s ever-changing inventory features 33 beers on tap, hundreds of large format bottles, cans, and single serving bottles of seasonal and local brews. We had dinner here before going to a concert at The Grand, across the street. Many people had the same idea! Our sandwiches were really good - Buffalo chicken and Korean barbeque cheesesteak. The waitress was swamped but did a great job! Definitely make a reservation if going to a show at The Grand.

Overall, the experience was good. Service was friendly and efficient. My order was incorrect, but it was corrected quickly. Drinks were weak and pricey. Typical bar food but with flair.

Came in with a large group, at 8, and it was great. Everyone, everyone commented on how good the food was! My chicken sandwich was fabulous, the trio of fries...perfect, the white chili so good. And our server, she did a great job with different orders, separate checks...gluten...she was great. Hard to find great food at 8 at night...reasonably priced too.

Servicer was very nice but forgot portions of our order. Disappointed the restaurant charges a 20% service fee (or gratuity). If you’re going to mandate that kind of charge the service should be exceptional. Making that an automatic charge allows your waiters to be subpar. Cannot recommend this restaurant.
