Our new San Diego home is located in the Carez Hizar House (circa 1889), a Coronado historical landmark on Loma Avenue almost at the corner of Orange Avenue. We are within walking distance to beautiful downtown Coronado, the Hotel Del Coronado, and the beach. A French inspired bistro where people feel comfortable and enjoy fresh rustic fare at reasonable prices. Sourcing locally to achieve maximum freshness and offering our customers what they want instead of following culinary trends.
If your desire is a casual tapa at the bar or a dinner with friends or colleges, Chez Loma under new management, offers an inviting space to relax, enjoy and socialize.

Caesar salad and oysters Rockefeller were great. So was the service; very attentive. Entres of cioppino and beef short ribs were very tasty but too salty, especially the cioppino. Major problem was the room was so cold. We never felt like taking off our coats. We’ll return when the weather warms up.

We had not been here in a long time, and after reviewing their web site and menu made reservations for the bar which per open table were wide open It was awkward there were two reserved places, and the bar area was full. The bartender said he'd check, and came back and said we could sit there, which unfortunately was adjacent to the wait stand for drinks. There is no wine Wednesday as shown on the website, nor do they serve mussels anymore. That was a signature dish. We ordered crab cakes, at 6:45, they were out. Oysters are 3.75 each or 48 a dozen. Wine is $19 a glass. It's catering to tourists and biz accounts and not locals I think. For for we got, it's not a regular hang out. Please update your website.

When booked didn’t know about small menu. I was emailed and texted about confirmation a few times but nothing about menu. Food was good but Halibut cold. Disappointed as this was one of our favorite spots when visiting.
