Not much has changed since George Washington frequented Campbell’s Tavern for its delicious seafood in the 18th century. Dig in to locally sourced shrimp, scallops, and fish, and be sure to try Christiana’s famous Crab Cakes, Fried Chicken, Sweet Potato Muffins and Spoon Bread.

    This is one of my favorite restaurants to eat at when in Colonial Williamsburg. I ove the ambience, the wait staff and the food is delicious. I had the steak entrée and my husband had the seafood pie. It was wonderful. Everything is prepared to perfection. Yummy desserts

    My hot appetizer came room temperature, the service was too slow, and the server was way too chatty and expressive. Our dinner lasted around two hours.

    We were there on the night of the Grand Illuminations. They had a prix fixe menu, with multiple choices per course. I had stuffed oysters followed by the steak. The steak was perfectly cooked and delicious. Our server, Timothy, Madeira feel all the more special by explaining how the meal would have take place in the 1700's.

    This was Grand Illumination supper; the tavern was very busy. Although we arrived early, slow service prevented us from seeing the fireworks from the beginning. However, all staff and service providers were very courteous and polite.

    Outstanding! We dined at ith a 4:15 reservation on Dec 14. The service was delightful. The food was extraordinary! The specialty menu offered incredibly delicious options. We finished our meal and walked across the street to watch the Grand Illumination from the back of the Capitol building. No crowd and great fireworks. So so fun!!
