Dined here with my wife one Saturday evening in January. The was only half full but there were not enough waiting staff to provide slick service one would expect at this type of restaurant. At the begining of the meal we were waiting for drinks (water, cocktails etc) for irritating length of time. We noticed other diners having to ask for wine to be topped up. We had the 6 course tasting menu and were very disappointed . The dishes looked pretty but were either bland or inedible. The first course was very bland - a few strands of vegetables with a tasteless sea urchin emulsion The mushroom dish was bland (could hardly taste the mushroom) and heavily over-salted, the main course of pheasant was bland and there was a bizzare cheese course that consisted of a badly made sweet macaron filled with a pungent soft cheese. To their credit, the waiting staff realised we were not enjoying our food and brought us two extra courses which were actually tasty - a poached duck egg course and then a conventional cheese board which had a selection of very good cheese. We also had the wine pairing which was a mistake as we were served forgettable, mediocre wines that was paired well with dishes if the intention was to pair bland wines with bland food.
Overall, it was very poor meal given the cost and compares very badly with other Michelin star restaurants in the same price bracket. I cannot recall ever, not eating 3 courses in a tasting menu. We did not make a big fuss about not eating the courses we did not enjoy and the staff were charming about it and we left with no hard feelings but will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.
