Owing to the success of the Cornstore Wine Bar & Restaurant Cork, a sister restaurant was opened in Limerick in November 2008, situated on the newly refurbished and pedestrianised street, Thomas Street.

The concepts boasts 3 floors offering a lively, buzzy, Manhattan style surrounding, including private dining and contemporary heated smoking area. The interior is mirrored to match the stylish elegance of its sister restaurant in Cork with intricate floor tiling, pewter style bar, cosy booths and intimate lighting.

Like Cork, the menu consists of premium steaks and quality seafood, an extensive drinks list with cocktails, new world beers and a vast wine list.
Both Cornstore buildings were selected because of their historic presence and the belief that the old and new can be successfully combined to create an old style feel with a modern ambiance.

    I orderded the Fillet for EURO 40,- and it was very poor value for money. The fillet should have been Medium-rare, but the outer side of the Fillet was well done. Also the inner side of the fillet tasted like old shoes. Alse the spinage and unions as side was very limited, even no saled or patatoes were inckuded. So very poor value for money. In fact the best experience was the glass of Malbec. I was very disappointed, and in fact had much better fillet steaks elsewhere. TOnight I am going to Texas steakout in Limerick, have been there several times and is definately 100% better in their fillet then Cornestone.

    Cornstore is always a good option for Dinner when you are visiting Limerick. Very consistent food and service, nice vibe there and friendly service.

    Booked on the basis of a recommendation from a work colleague who is from Limerick. Even better, when we arrived in Limerick a friend shared with us that they had had a fantastic meal there the night before, so we had high expectations and we were not disappointed. We had a leisurely beer while waiting to be seated and were kept refreshed and entertained by the bar staff. We were given help and good advice with our menu choices and the food was as good as we had been told about. It was a very good meal and just as others were happy to recommend The Cornstore to me, I’m happy too to recommend it. I hope I have an opportunity to eat there again.

    The food was amazing, I had lobster rolls for starters, bit over priced but tasted amazing so worth it almost, had ribeye steak for mains, got it med well and was so tasty, my son had bbq chicken wings, very tasty, husband had burger and beef dripping chips, all very tasty, the cocktails are all amazing, i had the firey passion marguerita, so delicious , but what really outshines most with this restaurant always is the staff, the staff are the most professional and kjndest smiling staff I've ever seen in a restaurant, they are a huge credit to this restaurant, thank you all for a lovely evening. The best restaurant in limerick city by far, we come here alot for special occasions throughout the year.

    We a family of 5 (kids are 6,3,2) had a lovely meal at the cornstore this afternoon. We had originally booked for later in the evening but came early as the weather was getting worse. We were accommodated at the earlier time without any fuss. The meal itself was excellent. The kids had the burgers and chips which were all eaten . My wife and I both had the rib eye steaks which were perfectly cooked (medium rare) and delicious. My only minor complaint was that their was no potatoes or chips included with the main dish but this was clearly explained by the waitress when ordering. Overall a good experience.
