   outstanding roasts - best ones we've had in area, loved the bone marrow gravy, we had the all in to share with cauliflower cheese

   Lovely food and prompt service - a couple of adjustments would’ve made it fantastic! We ordered a bottle of wine and the waiter poured the whole bottle out between our four glasses, generally you’d pour a little and leave the bottle on the table so that we could serve ourselves the remaining. There was also some confusion around the vegetarian roast & the big cuts discount. It wasn’t advertised that the veg roast was literally just vegetables with a side of cauliflower cheese and upon ordering this wasn’t explained either.. We also ordered a side of mac & cheese so were unsure when both turned up. My standard cutlery was removed so I was left eating veg with a steak knife. We were upsold the big cuts as a roast but upon ordering told it was an additional cost for trimmings; when we asked if this was as a roast, the suggestion was this wasn’t possible but they would ‘work it out’. There was no check after we received the food and when spending a significant amount I would expect this. Besides the faults, the food was delicious and plentiful but some amendments to the service would make a world of difference.

   Staff are very good and very helpful. Food was amazing, we had the Sunday roast platter! More than enough for the two of us x

   50% off the large cuts - good value we loved the porterhouse - meat was delicious as was the homemade gravy we love coming here

   I’m always a fan of Cow & Pig. Service is great, lovely food and whenever I’ve been on a Thursday evening it’s never been too busy.

    Service was first class and attentive. Sunday roast beef was a bit tough and could have done with a few more veg on the plate
