   Sensational food and glorious setting but service was incredibly slow: 40 minutes from ordering for mains to arrive (didn’t have starters) and then 20 minute wait for for the wine we ordered we put in when mains eventually arrived. We told the manageress when we paid. She said ‘sorry to hear that’ but seemed completely unconcerned and in the next breath asked if we wanted the receipt. Rather baffling! However, food and ambience mean this was still a lovely experience, but next time we’ll know to allow 90 minutes for a one course meal! I should also say that they were very understanding about our rather noisy puppy, for which we are grateful!

   Fantastic Sunday roast at The Crown after a long walk with the dog. Very welcoming and cosy pub, with excellent service and fantastic food. Fast becoming a favourite of ours.. thank you very much. See you soon!
