I took my elderly parents to Vela for a family celebration on a Monday night. Staff were friendly and welcoming, and the restaurant was clean and beautifully fitted out. We ordered several dishes to share and were very pleased with all of them. Our waiter was helpful, answering our questions and repeating our order back to us to make sure it was correct.

We love the family feel that sets this restaurant apart from others. Tracey and her team are passionate about ensuring every part of your experience is memorable. The food is truly next level, and is so delicious. Love the atmosphere and the location. Amazing little find which keeps us coming back again and again. With a small menu and a highly proficient owner chef this is now my favourite restaurant. It is a rare thing to be able to speak to the chef about your food preferences but Gu has quite a profile in the restaurant. He takes his food very seriously and has worked all over the world. We loved everything we ordered to include the Tuna/Scallop tataki and duck spring rolls for entree and shared the seafood Laksa. Food was excellent, fresh and we didn't walk out feeling guilty as it was all good. Love this restaurant for lots of reasons but mainly the wonderful food.

We had a fantastic first time at Spice Bar. The food was absolutely lovely. We chose the banquet and let the chef decide, we were not dissapointed and so much food. The service was some of the best I have had on the Sunshine Coast. We will be back!
