Blacklock is a modern version of the Great British chophouse. Set in an old brothel, we take the best meat in the country from the award winning farmer and butcher Philip Warren in Cornwall. We cook chops simply over our real charcoal grill with a little help from vintage Blacklock irons and serve it all up alongside cocktails that give back and wine on tap in our atmospheric subterranean chop mecca. I've been here several times before and the burgers are always excellent, but this time no chocolate milkshake and although the burger was very good, it wasn't as good as usual. Not exactly disapointing, it's still one of the best burgers in London, but no longer THE best.

Another superb supper in the charming and inspired Goldies. Finally got around to trying the Pork - that crispy and crunchy coating was top-notch Japanese level... so beautifully made and utterly unctious. As too were the new Beef Shin coquette - evidence that Will and his Team and forever thinking about their creations and tinkering to upscale their endeavours. It's a all a beautiful fusion between the immense achievements of the food and the sheers unpretentiousness of it all. You can't order badly - it's all unified, coherent and underpinned by philosophy and skill. Brilliant stuff.

We had a wonderful time at Catalina’s! The moment we arrived, we had a lovely welcome from Henni who talked us through both our menu and our dog’s menu. We always look out for dog-friendly restaurants, but this has been the best experience so far. Everything we ordered was really delicious! Even our dog enjoyed her meal. Shame we live so far. Catalina’s is the type of place where we could easily become regulars.
