Opened in 2017. Michelin-recommended since 2022.We first imagined Aloette to be the perfect diner that we’d want to dine in – a menu with a great cheeseburger paired with a fantastic and fun wine list, a long row of bar stools facing the bar and the kitchen, and an energetic atmosphere accented with an old school hip hop playlist. The buzz of the dining room mirrors the energy of the street on Spadina Avenue; the dining room itself mimics a train’s dining car. It’s a bistro-meets-diner-meets-internationally-inspired menu which is also representative of the diverse culture in Toronto. Our service team is upbeat and genuine but also deeply knowledgeable about the menu and offerings. Brunch at Aloette was something we said we’d never do. But the city kept asking and we’re glad to be a new staple in the Queen West neighbourhood for mimosas, chicken and waffles, and piping hot coffees. This classic supper club boasts live performances every night, from Tuesday through Saturday. Bistro-style cuisine, prepared in the traditional French technique, with ingredients from all over the world, prepared with passion by our Executive Chef, Roshan Vermezyari. This restaurant is outstanding and never disappoints. Celebrated our anniversary there and they took such good care of us. Every dish carefully curated and delicious. Can’t wait to go back.

I love Burdock, the beers are so great and the space itself wonderful. The service was really lackluster, a trend I'm seeing throughout the city these days unfortunately (but maybe understandably) - no enthusiasm, not consistent, not checking in if the food is good or if we have everything, a general "oh yeah you're still here" vibe. Not something I've experienced at Burdock before and was really excited to show my friend from out of town. Overall a fine, just fine, experience.
