The Garrison Public House is a bustling neighbourhood restaurant at the heart of Bermondsey Streets creative community and just a short skip from the comestible delights of Borough Market. We take full advantage of being an independent restaurant; from our quirky, inimitable interior to our considered wine list and engaging staff, we make sure everything we do is done with The Garrison style. At Restaurant Story the premise is simple; we seek to tell our story through the food we serve.We opened in April 2013 gaining our first Michelin star only five months after opening and in 2021 we were awarded our second Michelin star. Finally in 2023 we launched Story 3.0 hosting a 2nd floor.Inspired by chef Tom Sellers’ culinary career and the history of British food, our dishes are an edible story, each one inspired by a memory. The Coal Shed was born from the love of cooking the finest meat and seafood over fire.The restaurant uses the highest quality ingredients, sourced as locally as possible. Try the 35-day aged sharing steaks or the South Coast sharing fish for a dining experience to remember. The Coal Shed London, occupies two floors and a bar for pre and post dinner drinks and cocktails expertly crafted (it's not possible to stay at the bar at the moment due to the pandemic but if we have an available table, we will be delighted to seat you until we need it back). If you want to host your own event, there is a private dining room on the mezzanine or the restaurant can be exclusively hired for any type of occasion (following all Government Guidelines for numbers and social distancing).
