General Public is inspired by trying to imagine what an upscale English pub would be if it had the heart of an American brasserie (and was open 11 to 11). It’s also going to signal a little bit of steakhouse, but not too much. And finally, it will look behind itself at the Black Hoof, which you will see reflected in James Santon’s menu here and there. In terms of vibe, the main floor is ‘everything’s gone green’, with lush comfortable banquette seating, warm wood, and barstools designed for long conversations over many cocktails. Upstairs you’ll find a completely different space that transports you to a peachy 80s dream. Service was incredible. Michelle was attentive and thorough, kind and welcoming. We loved the halibut with the creamed leeks, as well as the lemon posset for dessert. Overall it was a perfect meal with perfect drinks. We will definitely be back.

Christmas Day and I have to say it was a fabulous decision to go to Fox on John’s. The food was really good, the service was excellent, and the whole atmosphere was just lovely. I particularly like the decor, very comfortable very warm and inviting.

Went in for a birthday ended up staying until late night. Karaoke was a blast. Had such a great time. Prices are very reasonable and food was great. I ended up eating the chicken Alfredo and it was amazing.
