Populairste Chinese restaurants in Chippendale

The reviews I had read did no justice to the outstanding level of service and cuisine we experienced at Songbird last night with a party of six. Exceptional produce beautifully cooked. Stand-outs were piping hot dumplings with a delicate skin and bouncy interior, sesame prawn toast, beautifully balanced crab omelette and conpoy and lup cheong fried rice. The crisp skin chicken was voted the best we all had ever had - a must order. Mr Wongs had the monopoly of fine Cantonese food in Sydney up until now. The baton, has now been well and truly been passed to Songbird. Can’t wait to return.

Great tasty food, pleasant overall experience. We did get the seating we had requested. It was rather noisy with the speaker right above our table, and a loud group next to us.

It’s Christmas Day, they are short staffed & getting hammered but it was such a lovely afternoon. The staff were flustered yet apologetic but we didn’t mind, they were doing their very best. Food was great, my mocktail Sunnyside was delicious. The beers were cold, dishes were really interesting. We weren’t rushed at all in fact the restaurant called me the week before to move my booking so that we could enjoy more time there. Qudos to the staff holding it all together on a very busy day

Very good service. Food is also nice. We enjoyed the lunch.
