Bluestone is a Chicago-style restaurant in Evanston that offers homestyle cooking in a warm and welcoming environment. Owner John, whose obsession with golf led to the more than 250 pin flags decorating the restaurant, opened Bluestone after transitioning from commercial film production. His goal was to create a locale that was filled with friendliness and familiar faces, all while serving a variety of menu options with a hometown feel. All Meal Prep was an excellent experience. Food was good and the service was exceptional. The staff was so hospitable and friendly and made our birthday celebration so memorable. They have parking in the back and easy accessibility from the parking lot into the restaurant. (This was hugely appreciated as one person in our group had easy accessibility to the restaurant with a walker.) Great ambiance and very personable staff!

Our reservations were for 4:30, so we were kind of like in a private room. We loved it. We were able to talk and hear each other. Our waitress was wonderful and so was the food

The restaurant was very busy, but our server was lovely. They were out of fish and chips (the special that day) st 7 p.m.; that was disappointing as several in our party were going to order. Excellent happy hour deals!
