Populairste Frans-amerikaanse restaurants in West Loop

My partner and I came to Avec for an anniversary dinner and it did NOT disappoint! We each got a cocktail and then ordered four dishes to share (the endive and apple salad, the short rib hummus, the campanelli, and the lamb kefta calzone). Each was INCREDIBLE, but the short rib hummus was 100% the show stopper (i'd come back just to eat that!) The portion sizes were also good for the value. The restaurant itself was beautiful and had such lovely ambience. I will say that we did not receive any sort of "anniversary" benefit - usually restaurants will throw in like an extra something if it's a special occasion, not sure if that's the case at Avec! But either way, we had an absolutely wonderful time and will be coming back.

The food was outstanding – – the muscles, crabcakes, escargot, and lobster rolls were excellent. Service was a bit overwhelmed, but our waitress worked incredibly hard. Made sure that our meals came out well in advance of our play time.

Booked this establishment last minute for a Christmas lunch while exploring Chicago. My husband and I enjoyed the food and the ambiance of the restaurant. The lobster roll was really good and my husband enjoyed the Bandol Burger. Highly recommend trying this establishment when in Chicago.
