Great time at Bacaro. Beautiful outdoor space. Lots of space and a nice stroll down to the water’s edge between courses. The food was innovative and mostly delicious. Will definitely go back on another trip to the Caymans.

I had visited this restaurant several times in the past and always found it to be excellent. It was, however, 30 years since the last visit in 1994 so I wasn't sure how it would be this time. No fear, it was as good as I remembered, and one of the best on GC! Service was terrific, starting with the host, then the wonderful Scots bartender (sorry, I forgot her name) and our waiter, Roberto. Ambiance is terrific with the view of the lake illuminated at night and the tiki-like building and paddle fans. Despite a relatively full house, we were able to converse at reasonable levels and hear every word Roberto said. The Pink Negroni was one of the best I've had, and the wine list is lengthy. Our only regret, and one that extends to all of the restaurants on GC, is the prices of everything. I understand inflation as well as the cost of everything on the island, but it was shocking the rapid rise in prices over the last few years! Nonetheless, we would recommend Pappagallo with no reservations. Definitely worth the trip from 7MB and even the prices!
