Roberto Paciullo opened his namesake restaurant almost twenty years ago. Since then it has become a neighborhood favorite and a destination for those visiting Arthur Avenue. He prepares the cuisine of his beloved hometown Salerno, Italy. The specials change weekly and reflect Roberto's creative use of the local ingredients from pasta in cartoccio to the perennial favorite veal osso buco.Now closed Mondays for the time being.

Join us at Aunt Jake's Upper East Side for our Pasta Making Class & 3-course pasta menu! The cost is $60 per person for pasta instruction and the prefix meal. We require a $10 per person non-refundable deposit. The entire experience is approximately 2.5 hours. However, we wanted to create Italian food for the “next” generation. The idea was to develop an Italian concept around the customer’s choice of how to eat pasta compared to how the restaurant wanted you to eat it. With that in mind, Aunt Jake’s core mission is to bring high-quality fresh ingredients daily to craft our handmade pasta and sauces health-consciously. Always delicious food! The chicken bolognese was the best dish on the table. The pasta making experience was a lot of fun. I took some out of town guests. I would definitely do it again!

Food was delicious. I had the branzino filleted, done perfectly, it had no bones. Also had fried calamari for appetizer that was done perfectly. We were Neve rushed and the waiter was excellent.

We loved our evening at L’Artista!! The setting was quiet and intimate. The service was friendly and attentive. The only thing better than those is the food! The food is FANTASTICO!! The arincina took me right back to Sicily. My gnocci with gorgonzola, walnuts and pear was the best!!! Those little pillows absorbed the delicious sauce and then they melted in my mouth. The addition of pear and walnuts to the creamy gorgonzola sauce is perfection. My husband enjoyed the Bolognese, saying it was the best he’d had, extra meaty and flavorful. We’ll be back!!!
