Populairste Engelse restaurants in Hitchin

It was a birthday meal for my wife. The food and ambience was perfect, will be back soon.

Ourselves and two other couples get together once a month for a meal at different restaurants and pubs. We chose the Sword in Hand as it has a good reputation for food, and isn’t far from where we live. The meal was exquisite, 4 of us having the “Christmas pie” and thoroughly enjoyed it. The other 2 had chicken schnitzel, and fish and chips, who also had no complaints. The service was impeccable, giving extra commendation to the younger staff who were very attentive, ensuring we were happy with the meals and drinks. I would definitely recommend a visit.

Been twice now. Haven’t had a better roast in London.

Excellent food, well prepared with delicious flavours. Not large portions but high quality ingredients and preparation. Outstanding staff. Very cheerful, helpful and engaging.
