ST. JOHN Bread & Wine reflects the rhythms of its locale whilst observing the same respect for seasonal, indigenous ingredients and "the whole beast" as the bigger sister restaurant. Currently opening for dinner, Tuesday to Saturday, this branch very much beats its own drum with a menu structured towards a slightly less formal manner of dining, with guests actively encouraged to share dishes as they're ready from the kitchen.As well as selling goods to take home from our bakery, wines by the bottle or the case can be bought from our lists to take home with some delivery available. The Albion is a Georgian gem left over from a time when Islington was fields and farmland, and where the regulars would take afternoon walks out of the city to visit us. We have a lovely garden which resembles places found in the South of France, with the wisteria blooming and the willow creating a nice and relaxed atmosphere. In the back of the garden there is an old barn which used to be a bar, and the rumour is that the Sex Pistols played their first concert in the barn. Inside, the log fires create a lovely atmosphere during the cold months, where you can wrap up and enjoy a drink or food both in our dining room and bar areas. We are frequented by regulars from our local area as well as their dogs. We happily provide both water and biscuits for visiting dogs and love to have them around.

Hawksmoor Wood Wharf is housed in an eco-friendly floating pavilion in a new riverside neighbourhood in Canary Wharf. Gently rising and falling with the tide, the main restaurant at dock-level is joined by a 120-seat waterside bar. Both include terraces with views across the water (squint your eyes and you might just see the ghosts of great ships laden with mighty lengths of timber that used to swing in and unload there). There's also a private dining room for up to 20 people named after the local legend Queenie Watts, a singer, songwriter, actor and self-confessed bawdy landlady (think Peggy Mitchell meets Joni Mitchell). The menu revolves around the best British produce the country has to offer with grass-fed dry-aged ethically reared beef, sustainable seafood from the South coast and some of the biggest hits from the Hawksmoor New York menu.

The Quality Chop House celebrated its 150th anniversary in 2019.Our menus are seasonally-focused and change daily based around the best produce delivered each morning.
