Our “finest hour” was most definitely during the Battle of Britain in World War II, when we were commandeered by the RAF to serve as an auxiliary mess for Fighter Command at RAF Kenley. The Harwood Arms re-opened in September 2008 after some much needed refurbishment. This rural haven in the middle of Fulham is a collaboration between Brett Graham of the famed Ledbury restaurant, Mike Robinson of the acclaimed Pot Kiln pub in rural Berkshire and Edwin Vaux from the famous Vaux brewery. This was our first visit to this fantastic restaurant, and certainly will not be our last. Both our meals came out presented beautifully. My steak was the best I have ever eaten!!! My wife had Salmon and described the same. We were the only two in at that time but the restaurant still felt cosy and welcoming. We will definitely return with friends in tow!! Simply wonderful.

I had a very relaxing time. The food was unique and different from afternoon tea in other hotels. I really liked the scones here. They were crispy, small, easy to eat and the jam was delicious. I was also happy that they provided high chairs for my baby. The atmosphere is casual, perfect for visiting with my kids. It was full when I visited. Everyone enjoyed chatting so I didn't have to worry if my kids were a bit loud.
