Established in 2017 by Executive Chef, Thomas Cauquil and Brewery Director, Vincent De Soyres, Frenchies Bistro & Brewery specialises in creating food and drinks for friends, all in a relaxed, casual, and unique setting, where customers have the option to dine surrounded by brewing tanks.Leaning on fresh, local, seasonal produce, the duo create all of their products in-house, from smoked and cured meats and hand rolled pastas, to Frenchies' award-winning beers and spritzes.Thomas and Vince first met at Albert de Mun Hotel and Catering School in Paris in 2005. From there, Thomas went on to work at Michelin star restaurants including Le Violon d’Ingres* in Paris and El Chaflán in Madrid, meanwhile Vince set his sights on Australia, and moved from Ninkasi Brewery in Lyon to the Little Brewing Co. in Port Macquarie in 2010, followed by the Flat Rock Brew Café. We had an excellent meal at Gavroche- cocktails started the evening, and after choosing our meal (fois gras and scallops to start followed by steak frites and Rossini Tornedo) Matthieu our sommelier helped us choose a lovely bottle of Bordeaux red. The food and wine was excellent and the dessert (and dessert wine) was an excellent end to the meal, which we capped off with a glass of cognac. One of the highlights was the ambience and of the place and the very attentive service (so French). I would highly recommend Gavroche!!

Very friendly and knowledgeable staff, food incredible! We asked to move to a nicer table and it was all fine, slight mistake with the bill that was quickly sorted. Again food is incredible!

We were given a private room for a group booking. The staff were outstanding, offered great advice and assistance and made the night thoroughly enjoyable. The food was lovely, and portion sizes didn't leave you feeling too full or still hungry. The wine and drinks menu had something for everyone.
