Nestled in the heart of Washington DC, The Pembroke is a delightful culinary gem that offers a perfect blend of ambiance, service, and exquisite dishes. My recent visit left me thoroughly impressed! Starting with the Bagel Salmon, I was blown away by the freshness of the ingredients. The bagel was perfectly toasted, providing a delightful crunch that complemented the silky, rich cream cheese and the succulent slices of smoked salmon. The addition of capers and red onions added a burst of flavor that elevated the dish to new heights. It was a beautifully balanced plate that left me craving more. The Eggs Benedict was equally remarkable. The poached eggs were cooked to perfection, with the yolks oozing out beautifully when cut. The hollandaise sauce was creamy and rich, striking the right balance of tanginess that paired wonderfully with the savory ham. Served atop a toasted English muffin, this dish was a comforting yet elegant choice that made for a satisfying brunch experience. Beyond the food, the restaurant design is a feast for the eyes. They were quick to offer recommendations and made sure we had everything we needed without being intrusive.

Outstanding service, great food at great prices. All of their pasta dishes are fantastic and their tiramisu is the best in DC.

We had a lovely dinner, but upstairs was very loud. The combo of crowd voices and loud music made it hard to have a conversation. Drinks were great and fries very tasty. Really enjoyed the Brussell sprouts! Service was good and server very friendly, but felt like she was really in the weeds and therefore unable to pay as much attention to us as she would have liked. But others stepped in to help when she was unable to, so your team was working well together.

Korean fried chicken and perogie appetizers were delicious. Everyone tried something different for entrees and we all enjoyed our meals and exclaimed how good everyone else’s dishes looked. The crème brûlée apple cheesecake was great and the red wine I had was a heavy pour. Not crowded on a Thursday night and our server was really nice. One of the nicest, chillest meals I’ve had in a while. Bravo!
