We are a restaurant located in Sugar Hill NYC with an 100% authentic Jamaican cuisine. From jerk chicken to ackee and saltfish (Jamaica's national dish) we bring the island flavors to Harlem NYC. While surveying the area, we noticed the need for a taste of the islands, so we did just that!Established in 2023.

Chez Omar is a nouveau Caribbean restaurant. Chef Omar is inspired by his Jamaican roots and Caribbean travels. This location comes as a second iteration of Omar's Kitchen and Rum Bar in NYC's Lower East Side.Chef Omar's initial interest in Jamaica’s native fruits and vegetables led to an all-out exploration of a culture that blends a Caribbean twang with an urban New York twist. He grows in his style by experimenting with these cultural blending techniques for friends and family, even dabbling in new ways to curate vegan Caribbean dishes.

Dunns River is always an amazing place to eat, celebrate or just hang out at. Food is great and the place is very nice. On some nights there is a DJ and Live Music from a great band. Recently I ordered catering to go for the holidays and it didn't disappoint. This is definitely a must visit, although NYC is blessed to have many great Caribbean, Jamaican restaurants, this one is special and separates itself from the pack.

Very good choice of a fusion of cultures. Portions were great, food was prepared beautifully and the ambience is very intimate. Good place for dates.
