Masuya Restaurant is located in a building, which has been designated as a cultural asset, on O’Connell Street in Sydney. This is the same place as the office of Kanematsu Gosho, the pioneer of Australia – Japan trades, was situated in 1980. Overall - it was alright. sashimi was fresh and the sushi was somewhat authentic. However, it is deafening inside and waiters have a hard time paying attention to you. And for the price I paid, I think I can find a restaurant that is more authentic and of better quality. The sushi rice was clearly machine-made and it just didn't have the extra mile I expect from mid to high price range restaurants.

My friends and I had a great time at By Sang. The food was delicious and the service was attentive. The stand out dish to me is the dry aged duck. It was full of unami. We also enjoyed the chirashi donburi with the fresh seafood and also the fact we can make our own hand sushi with the seaweed sheets.
