Heritage pub turned Greek Islands-inspired paradise, Golden Fleece Hotel has brought Santorini to South Melbourne. Entering off Montague Street, you’ll find curvaceous, stone-look tables, booths and an adjoining bottle shop where the walls are lined with vino you can take away! Make your way up the colourful mosaic-tiled stairwell you'll find a place to enjoy more cocktails after dining down stairs and nooks to sit back and relax, as well as a pool table and our DJ's on the weekend to keep the party forever going. Our Walk-ins only intimate Santorini Rooftop is where you’ll feel most transported, as the sun beams down, sip on a fun Aperol Spritz, or a Aphrodites Elixr of Desire to feel the holiday vibes. The menu is similarly Mediterranean. Among the highlights: Our famous fluffy oven baked bread accompanied by a selection of dips, and a delicious Yia-Yia's style Moussaka.     Seriously interesting food. Canoe of bone marrow eg with a nod to St Johns in London (this was better than the one I had there). Excellent wine list unsurprisingly Great service unobtrusive but attentive

    Morgan was part of the team on the night. He was excellent, very welcoming and definitely added to the excitement of dining at Maven. Happy to have a chat and answer our questions about his food journey. He is a wonderful young man. We loved our visit.

    The quality of the food was excellent, service was fantastic. Our waitress was very attentive and courteous. Considering it was Christmas Day, some Christmas decorations would have improved the ambience, some bon bons on the tables etc would have made it a more festive atmosphere. If it wasn't Christmas Day, I'd say it was excellent in all respects.
