O Calhau Feltham is a very welcoming, very cosy Portuguese restaurant that we can’t get enough of. It’s a family-run place on Staines Road in Feltham, one that doesn’t try to scream from the rooftops about the quality of the food because the quality of the food speaks for itself. Begin your meal with a selection of hot tapas then consider a main of fresh fish – this is a Portuguese restaurant, after all – with the grilled king prawns served with baby calamaris being a dish we’d certainly recommend. O Calhau Feltham offers as well a fine selection of wine and the staff will be more than happy to help you choose one to pair with your food. In this part of suburban London, not far at all from Heathrow airport, we don’t know of a better Portuguese restaurant. Reserve a table now.

You’ll find Plate at No. 6 down a cobbled lane in the heart of Windsor, nestled amongst the pubs and boutiques of the old town. We are a tapas restaurant, drawing upon the culinary riches of the Mediterranean Basin; our plates reflect the diversity of cuisines found in Spain, Turkey, France, Morocco, Italy, Greece and Lebanon. All our dishes are created by our head chef Olindo who draws on these inspirations his signature dishes including a seafood gnocchi.The open kitchen and lime wash walls define the chic, intimate dining space of Plate at No.6.     Celebrated a birthday meal here and booked very last minute. Pleased we did as the welcome, service, food and value for money was fantastic. The level of service we received is rare to come by nowadays. Possibly one of the best restaurants Staines has to offer.

    We had a table for 4 booked for my husbands birthday - all the staff were amazing, very friendly and all acknowledged his birthday. The food was also amazing, I had the Venison which was perfectly cooked and delicious, followed by the Chocolate and Praline desert - also absolutely delicious. Great atmosphere and we didn’t feel pressured to leave, despite being the last party in the restaurant. We had a bottle of rose champagne which was quite expensive. Overall, would definitely recommend.
