James Beard Award-winning Chef Andrew Black makes his way back to Skirvin Hotel to open his newest restaurant concept, Perle Mesta. The restaurant will be his first concept to open since winning a James Beard award as 2023’s Best Chef Southwest and will be located on the first floor of the historic Skirvin Hotel (One Park Avenue, Oklahoma City). Perle Mesta will offer breakfast, lunch, and dinner service and the cuisine will reflect Chef Black’s continued exploration of what he calls “possibility cuisine,” a concept he attributes to his style of cooking that explores and embraces the endless possibilities of ingredients, flavors, techniques, and cultural influences. The Castle built in 1945 and styled as a Chåteau de Normandie offers The Cellar for intimate casual dining and The Primrose at Castle Falls features a five-course dining experience; both opened Thursday, Friday, and Saturday evening by reservation and any day with prearrangement. Castle Falls features casual and upscale dining. Please allow a minimum of two hours for your dining experience. Though many still fondly remember the Keller in the Kastle from the 90s, German cuisine is no longer served.
