We are located in the historic Lalime's space in the Westbrae neighborhood of Berkeley, CA.Our intentions with three.one four was to create a dining experience that is so captivating, it transcends all others. At Babette, the husband and wife team of Joan Ellis and Patrick Hooker, are in the kitchen preparing each plate to ensure that their vision and taste profile are translated to each diner. The attention to detail are evident in not only the food they make but also the ambience they have created. The interior of the restaurant is natural brick and the couple have chosen a rich color palette of deep blues and greens for the walls. An elegant chandelier hangs over a natural wood backed booth providing both a cozy and elegant feel to the room. Outside on the spacious patio, a magnificent redwood tree provides natural shade to the built in seating area and plants are abundant creating a lush, garden setting. Montesacro is the first “Pinseria” in the United States. It resembles old Roman “Fraschette” offering a wide selection of artisanal cheeses and cured meats, cold dishes from Roman tradition and a modern take on Pinsa, a low fat, low calorie and easy to digest flat bread made with a blend of rice, soy and wheat flour imported directly from Rome, all GMO free. Chef-owner, Giuseppe Naccarelli presents a seasonally inspired menu of classic Italian dishes with a modern twist, influenced by the cuisine of his native region of Abruzzo. A Trabocco is a unique fishing pier found along the Adriatic coast of Abruzzo. Architect and Designer Lev Weisbach of Weisbach Architecture|Design was inspired by the beautiful Trabocchi of Abruzzo when he created his spectacular design. With its reclaimed wood ceilings, dramatic copper encased fireplace, and modern bar Trabocco is warm and welcoming yet strikingly dramatic and modern.

I lived in Italy for a year and three.one four’s pizza is the best I’ve ever had. The salad was amazing as well. Full bar/craft cocktails, great wine selection, and an incredible dessert menu. We’re already looking forward to returning to try some of their pastas and salads. We forgot that we were there during happy hour and were surprised at how reasonable our check was for such a memorable dining experience.

A beautiful neighborhood restaurant. Crowded holiday evening but the staff is warm and friendly and we were treated like family. My go to restaurant for delicious food in a sweet and comfortable environment.

We had a choice to sit outside or inside - I think either would have been lovely but we chose outside and sat around the fire table - between the fire table, heat lamp and cozy blankets, the temperature was perfect even on a somewhat chilly night and you could not beat the wonderful atmosphere. It was our first time here but will not be the last.

I could write whole books about how much I love the pizza (because it's utterly sensational), but I really love how accessible and low key this restaurant is while still giving you the incredible flavors that Che Fico's locations consistently deliver. Ordering with QR code is a breeze and everything comes out super quick, but servers are still available & very friendly. Really love meeting friends here before/during a Warriors game or on a nice clear evening to share a pie with a view of the bridge, it's just too easy not to!
