The Black Horse Inn is a beautiful country pub, located just off the A283 between Petworth and Fittleworth, in the idyllic hamlet of Byworth.The roaring log fire in the bar, with original beams and bare-board flooring, is the perfect place to warm up and escape the winter elements.Come Summer time the garden is thriving and the ideal spot to enjoy a leisurely lunch overlooking the rolling hills of the Shimmings Valley. Please note:For parties with 8 or more guests debit/credit card details will be reqired to confirm your booking. In the event of a 'no-show' or cancellation within 48hrs a charge of £5 per head will debited from the card used.Dogs are not permitted in our restaurant area, however, well behaved dogs on a lead are welcome in the bar area.Unfortunately bar tables cannot be reserved.We will try our best to fulfil your seating requests however we cannot guarantee that specific tables will be available.

Despite being very full (and noisy!) my wife and I had a really good meal. Particularly impressed with thr delicious pork belly … will be returning for more memorable meals soon!

Everything was exceptionally good! Food, staff, atmosphere, we are already planning to go back. We were celebrating my boyfriend’s 40th birthday and they brought us a cake with a candle as a surprise. Everything was delicious and everyone working there is kind even though it’s super busy.
