Key West seafood restaurant in the heart of old town on Petronia. The menu is kept small so that everything is nice and fresh for you. Yellowtail snapper, fish of the day, Key West pink shrimp, and seafood medley highlight the menu. Deviled Eggs topped with Scallops, Shrimp Mango Toast and Crispy Pork Belly Croustinis tantalize the pallet. Beef stroganoff made with certified black angus beef is a favorite. Relaxing, unpretentious, and romantic. Seating is very limited. 24 Hour Cancellation window. For the consideration of our guests, we do not accept parties over the size of six (6). Originally from New York, Owner Big John brought his love of Italian food to our little island. He then married it to his love of tropical birds and established the restaurant in 1989. A visit to our house is a unique way to relax and enjoy life's simple pleasures as well as our treasures from the sea. The word Bagatelle comes from the French and means "a trifle or a little nothing", often referring to a light, fun, yet not too serious spring time romance. The French brought their history of fine cuisine and their love of wine to the Caribbean Islands. It is in this tradition that we have combined our French heritage, southern hospitality and the indigenous tastes of the Florida Keys into the meals we prepare today. Our boat launch is located at Slip 29, behind the Opal Key Resort, 245 Front St. Your reservation time is your departure time, please arrive 8-10 minutes prior to check in.
