Originally a historic US Coast Guard Station built in 1888 by famed architects McKim, Mead & White, now a spectacularly located waterfront restaurant overlooking Narragansett Bay. Offering an array of creative dishes from lobster & sweet corn tamale, lobster ravioli, grilled swordfish, lobster mac & cheese, & organic chicken; we supporting all aspects of sustainable agriculture and aquaculture. We use local farms when possible and source produce for quality and sustainability. Our seafood is sourced from purveyors that are dedicated to locating species from areas that produce the best tasting and highest quality seafood available.
Dine in one of our custom designed Igloos By the Sea at The Coast Guard House. There is an igloo rental fee for $100 for three hours. Each igloo is outfitted with a Bluetooth speaker, fireplace and heater. However, we do recommend dressing warmly and/or in layers. Our full menu is available for your enjoyment. We can not guarantee any specific igloo. Igloo reservations can be cancelled in inclement weather. There is a credit hold for $20 per person to complete your reservation. Your card will only be charged if you cancel a week or less or do not honor your reservation.
The Anchor Room is our newly remodeled modern dining space. The dining room has ceiling to floor glass paneling reveal panoramic views of Narragansett Bay.
Situated within the Main Lodge at The Preserve Sporting Club & Resort, Double Barrel Steak offers both the public and overnight guests a rustic, inviting setting to enjoy modern American steakhouse-inspired cuisine. The seasonal menu is thoughtfully curated to provide an engaging and memorable dining experience. In homage to Rhode Island’s 'Ocean State' moniker, the restaurant features 'ocean steaks' such as swordfish, halibut, and tuna. Additionally, game dishes will appear seasonally, reflecting The Preserve’s outdoor spirit. For gentlemen, collared shirts are required, and no shorts or flip-flops are permitted. Double Barrel Steak is open to the public.
