Opera Tavern is a beautiful two-storey bar and restaurant in the heart of central London’s theatre land. Located on Catherine Street we are opposite the Drury Lane Theatre, seconds from the Opera House, a stone’s throw from The Strand and a lovely walk across Waterloo Bridge from the South Bank. A beautiful former pub, the exposed brickwork, bold artwork and flattering low lighting help our two-story restaurant create the perfect atmosphere for a pre-theatre meal or drink. Camino was born with the opening of King’s Cross in 2007. Capturing the real essence of Spain was always the aim, and with the addition of Bar Rioja opening opposite ( this was previously Bar Pepito, London’s very first sherry bar) we came a King’s Cross institution. Had good memories from the last time I went in 2013 so was very pleased to enjoy it just as much this time. Speedy service pre theatre. Mum loved it too. We sat at the counter on bar stools but I didn’t miss having g a table. Will come again.

Very quiet given cold Tuesday in jan Food was fine although the steak ( 500g bavette ) was good quality but a little overdone for us ( more medium then medium rare and served on a cold plate When pointed out to our very charming waitress she replaced with a warm plate Would go back though maybe on a warmer day

First time at Decimo, and no doubt we'll be back again soon! Fantastic views of the city, and great service - felt very well looked after and the food was divine. Went for the tacos for starters and pork chop as main course - wine and drinks selection was spot on, and a perfect end to the day for my wife and I after a visit to the theatre. Would recommend :)
