Established in 1987, Meson Don Felipe was the first Tapas Bar in London and we are still an independent, family-run business. You can expect great tapas and some amazing, well-priced Spanish wines, served in an authentic, relaxed atmosphere. We have an outside terrace with heaters and umbrellas but of course, we can't promise the weather! The food and wine were as good as always. We’ve been here numerous times and still find the menu exciting. It’s hard to choose from so many delicious dishes. Highlights are the tortilla, sliders, scallops and croquettes. It soon adds up when you order the pricier dishes but it’s such good food, it’s worth it!

We regularly go here after visiting The Young Vic. There’s always a warm welcome, great food and efficient service. The room can feel a bit tight and noisy when full - which it usually is - but that’s no bad thing on a street with plenty of alternatives! As a vegetarian, I always have some good options from the ‘Garden’ section of the menu, but who wouldn’t want more?! A good chickpea dish, for example, or beans? But the tortilla, escalivada (peppers, onions, aubergines and tomatoes) and berenjenas (battered aubergines) will always keep me happy - and the vegetarian paella is fantastic!

Nice central venue. Good atmosphere and fairly busy. Service was good and good as expected at Slug and lettuce. Good for an enjoyable lunch near tourist centres.
