Chef Sebby Holmes launched Farang back in 2016 after trading at street food markets throughout London. A year later he took up temporary residency in Farang's current home in Highbury & Islington. After excellent reviews, he took on the space permanently after his step-father retired and since, has gone from strength to strength. Farang was recently inducted into the National Restaurant Awards top 100 and awarded a MICHELIN Bib Gourmand, which we have kept four years running. We had a great time however we were surprised to find out on arrival that the kitchen closes at 3pm even though we had a 2.45pm sitting, and we were told that we would thereafter be able to order drinks and not food. This should be made clear upon booking as we then would have booked an earlier table without having to frantically read the menu and order in a rush.

Excellent food, great atmosphere, very welcoming hosts! The overall experience couldn't have been better. Both all you can eat options (sushi and tempura) were absolutely delicious and without the usual limitations (time and quantity) provided by other restaurants of this type. Highly recommended!
