Next Door is the sister restaurant of Margaret, which, quite literally, sits next door to it at the corner of Bay St and Guilfoyle Avenue. Featuring a rolling 12-hour lunch-to-dinner menu, the bar brings you a selection of specially curated small plates such as Woodfire Grilled Peppers, Cherry Tomatoes with Oregano, Braised Zucchini with Mint, Chilli and Pecorino, as well as an amazing selection of Consorcio, Cuca, Pollastrini, Ortiz and Real Conversas tins with some freshly baked sourdough from Baker Bleu. My daughter & I went to De Vine after friends dined there and said how good it was. The restaurant is small, so definitely book a table, but has a wonderful & cosy ambience. The service was friendly and the food was delicious. Also has a long and fabulous wine & drinks list.

Staff were fantastic, they were attentive and informative. Venue is niche and great for catch ups, date night etc. Bit pricey but you’re in the CBD so that’s to be expected. What to expect: friendly knowledgeable staff, tasty food, good vibes, great music and a second to none location. What not to expect: great value for money, beers or a bad time. 8/10
