Food was great. Service was brisk towards the end and we were asked to leave. Bathroom needs a total renovation for our restaurant of this level.

Excellent food, great Italian setting and prompt service. Huge portions for the prices. Music was a little overbearing and loud but otherwise the noise level was fine and it was crowded when we there. Will definitely return.

We dined in around 5:00pm on a Friday, not too noisy, and had a nice ambience. The service was great, fast and efficient. Our whole dining experience was through in about 45 minutes which was good considering we had a Broadway show to catch at 7:00 (we didn’t order appetizers nor dessert). On the down side the food was sub par. I ordered the chicken francaise, and it was extremely watery and lacking in flavor which left the chicken soggy and tasteless. I wound up adding more lemon juice which made it semi tolerable. The vegetables and potatoes though were well seasoned and tasted great. My boyfriend had the chicken parmigiana which again the marinara sauce was very watery leaving the chicken soggy and tasteless but like my sides his were fine. Maybe it was just a bad night but I don’t think I’d return.

We had a great time here the food and service was fantastic. We were celebrating a birthday a they sang happy birthday along with dessert. Thank for making that day special.

As always, the food, service, and atmosphere were fantastic. Daniela’s continues to lead our list of restaurants to go to when in NYC.

Seated within a few minutes of arrival (we had a reservation). We requested fusilli with vegetables. In less than 15 minutes, it arrived, steaming hot and loaded with peppers, mushrooms, carrots, broccoli, tomatoes and peas. Delicious and healthy.

The restaurant is super cute. The garlic bread appetizer ($10) was good. I ordered the chicken piccata and did not like it. My daughter ordered the chicken Marsala and she did not like her dish either. The chicken was not grilled nor fried, but almost a boiled texture. Overall, we did not care for the food, but the atmosphere was great.

We were glad to be able to make a reservation on short notice, but we weren’t dazzled by the experience. I indicated that we were there for a special occasion, my 50th birthday. When we arrived, we were bright upstairs, where there were some garishly bright decorative lights in the window and loud, frankly awful holiday music playing the whole time. It felt like we were being taken to the kids’ tables, maybe because we had our two teenaged sons with us? I would have preferred the downstairs area, which seemed a little better in terms of ambience. The food was fine…the calamari was good and plentiful, the pasta came in huge bowls and the sauces were solid. A server bright a huge bowl of Parmesan that he spooned generously over our food on request, but I prefer to have some at the table to use to taste as I eat (much like fresh pepper—I don’t know if I’m going to want it until I taste my food, and then I may want to continue to season as I go). The clams in the linguine were fresh but extremely tiny and a little gritty. Felt like more work to eat them that it was really worth. The house red, a Sangiovese, was on point, though—very pleased with that. Overall, an ok experience that would have been improved with attention to ambience and details. Nobody ever mentioned anything about our special occasion, which seemed like a missed opportunity.
